Structurally Enhanced Carbon Foam is produced by Ceramic Composites by coating the individual ligaments with a polymeric ceramic precursor. CCI has deomonstrated more than doubling the compressive strength using this technique. The CCI coating process has more than doubled the strength of weak carbon foams.
